Social Disco Club: Peaceful Warrior

Humberto Matias, the Portuguese Nu Disco head behind Social Disco Club adds to his growing reputation with a fine release on Is It Balearic…?

Even on the dankest of English autumn days this track will bring the sun-shine rushing through your head phones to brighten things up. Mellow flutes and synths bounce along and the funkiest of guitars lay things down. Then some totally unexpected acid lines sneak into the mix, genius!

On the remix, upstarts Pharoa Black Magic transform the original into a Eurodisco monster, Tensnake would be proud. Soft Rocks remix takes those acid lines onto a whole new dimension, this is a chugger, big bold and not scared to get in your face. Pacific Horizons bring in a whole new bass-line and piano for a fabulously epic version. This track is a real treat.
